Ron, KG6HSQ, had the group go around the room introducing themselves for the benefit of new
members.

Ron, KG6HSQ, conducted a recap of the Fallbrook Avocado Festival. There was one instance of
a booth being moved that was not communicated by Kennedy to the club. Kennedy block
captains should be contacted for any but minor problems. Kennedy now understands the need for
proper traffic routing and the need for better radio coordination between the Kennedy and FARC
radio systems.

Ron, KG6HSQ, reminded club members of proper radio protocol on the repeaters. If you are
testing and don’t require a response use “(your call) testing”. If you need a radio check use
“(your call) radio check” or “(your call) requesting a radio check”.

Ron, KG6HSQ, reminded the group that Amateur Radio Field Day is coming up on June 24-25
at the William H Frazier Elementary School on Gum Tree. Initial setup will be on Friday, June
23rd at 1700 hours. Setup will continue beginning at 0700 hours on Saturday, June 24th. FARC
will be operating 3 HF stations and a VHF/UHF station. On-air operating hours are from 1100 on
Saturday until 1100 on Sunday. There will be a potluck dinner on Saturday at 1700 hours, a sign-
up sheet will be posted on the FARC website (https://www.fallbrookarc.org). New hams and
guests are welcome. Ron gave a brief overview of the Field Day rules.

Ron, KG6HSQ, presented a demonstration of the FDlog program that will be used to log
contacts on Field Day.

President Ron Patten, KG6HSQ, adjourned that meeting at 1600 hrs.
