The meeting was called to order at 1510 by Vice-President Ron Patten, KG6HSQ in the absence of President Jon Bart, K6QVA who was recovering from surgery.

The pledge was recited.

Ron asked for volunteers that could help with the Veteran’s Day Parade on Wednesday.  He said the parade would be lining up about 0930 and would start to move at approximately 1030 on Wednesday, November 11th.  He said the keynote speaker for the event this year would be Douglas McArthur.

All members and guest introduced themselves.

Ron gave an update on the upcoming Christmas Parade.  He said that a signup sheet has been passed for radio operators to volunteer to assist in the parade.  He said there would be no Clydesdales this year nor any other special entries.  There will be a total of 10 Divisions this year with 6 Divisions lining up on Ammunition, 2 Divisions will be behind Albertson’s and 2 Divisions will be starting from Aviation.  He indicated that the streets may possibly be closed a little earlier this year.  Ron said that the Chamber is having problems finding Marshals for the parade.  He also said that we would add a radio operator at the VIP area to assist with communications at that site.  This year they will be parking VIP’s at the Chamber Office and using a shuttle to transport them to the parade start.  Ron said that the Chamber is very appreciative of the Fallbrook Amateur Radio Clubs assistance and help with the parade.  He said that the Chamber would be selling lighted buttons for $5.00 this year to help with their expenses.  Ron announced that Bob Leonard will be the Grand Marshal for the parade this year.  There will be two more Chamber Office planning meetings prior to the parade.
